Pregnant One at about 6 months

Hello again!  We are hardly ever on here, but there have been some big changes since we last posted, so we figured we should probably update this a little bit!  We particularly wanted to post some pictures of the Pregnant One, and what our cute little nursery looks like!
Pregnant one at full term!
This is on one of the walls in the nursery.  The middle part
is the old cupboard off our bathroom vanity painted in chalkboard
paint.  The other frames are mod-podged scrapbook paper with
pictures of all our baby's grandparents.
Here's the crib with a vinyl tree on the one side, a picture of
Christ surrounded by children above, and the window (notice
the little blue bird above the window!) on the other side.

So...we're not really good at this thing...

Well, after a year and a half, I've gotten on to post something new. A lot has changed, but since it's just family that sees this, most of you know already what those changes are! We are enjoying summer weather (now that it's here), and trying to make most of our time we get to spend with each other. Kaylon's new calling (2nd counselor in bishopric) makes him a bit busier than he previously has been, so we're adjusting. I've been working on random projects to use my time this summer vacation and have so far created a play kitchen for our neighbor's little girl (see pictures), learned how to knit, BLOGGING (at least once), and done lots of reading. I highly recommend The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, as well as The Count of Monte Cristo, although it is really long! Not much else to update, so enjoy the pictures and hopefully you'll see another post before summer is over!

Post, the second - a long time coming

Well, we're finally getting around to posting a second blog. Sorry it's taken us so long! A quick, Reader's Digest version of an update:

I love teaching first grade! It's been a blast, although I have been feeling under the weather a little more than I would like. Kids and germs just come together, I suppose. Kaylon loves his job at Hill Air Force Base, and also brings home some exciting stories - planes dropping bombs, crazy runaway men, that sort of thing.

Our most recent exciting adventures include watching it snow here in Logan (Kaylon seems a lot more excited about that than I am), a trip out to New York for the Pumpkin Patch earlier this month (where we became goat wranglers), and some fun Halloween parties. Other than that, we just hang out here in Logan, trying to not be so busy with work!

Here's our Halloween costumes from our family birthday/Halloween party this month.

Post, the first

Well, after much consideration, ponderation, wondering, and worrying, we created a blog. Well, actually, it was more like me saying, "Kaylon, should we make a blog?" And since no audible refusal was given, I commenced. I would like to thank Seth and Elizabeth for their inspiration, as well as Ammon & Sarah, Sandy & Jared, Stacy & Jared, Derrick & Erin, and everyone else in the world that has a blog. I think even Ginger might have one......

There is not much to say this first time around, so we'll just say hello to all of our fellow bloggers, and bid you farewell until next time!
